A. In the selection section containing the interactive map [AREA] select the county.
- On the next level of the map, select the locality.
- The buttons above the map allow for resetting the selection, as well as searching for counties and localities by name.
B. In the selection section containing the menu [DATA], select the domains of interest.
- On the next level of the menu, select one of the indicators in the drop-down list.
- The buttons above the menu allow for resetting the selection, as well as searching for domains and indicators by name.
Searching and selecting counties and localities, as well as domains and indicators, can also be managed from the upper bar containing searching / selecting fields for [AREA] and [DATA].

Definition
Public library – a public encyclopedic library, serving all members of a local or regional community (commune, municipality, city or county). Public libraries ensure equal access to information and documents necessary for information, lifelong education and personal development of users, regardless of social or economic status, age, gender, political affiliation, religion or nationality. Public libraries include:
- county libraries;
- Bucharest Metropolitan Library;
- municipal and city libraries;
- communal libraries.

Comparison instructions
This section allows the user to compare the value of the selected indicator for the selected county to the values of other counties.
These values can be added to the graphic individually [Select county] or grouped by regions [Select regions].
When there are values for more years, for details the user can zoom in the graphic using the scroll button on the mouse.
To reset the selection, use the button [Reset selection].
To compare between the localities in a county, choose a locality from the interactive map [AREA] or from the [AREA] field of the upper bar.
When no county or locality is selected, this section shows the value of the selected indicator for the national level.

Ranking

Ranking instructions
This is a ranking of the counties depending on the values of the selected indicator.
The [Selected] area shows the rank of the county in the national top. The [First and last] section presents the outliers (the first and last places in the ranking). In the [All] area, the user can explore the entire ranking by scrolling in the table.
To access the ranking of localities in a county, choose a locality from the interactive map [AREA] or from the [AREA] field of the upper bar.

Frequency
Public libraries 2022
Frequency instructions
The graphic illustrates the frequency of the selected indicator’s values for all the counties at national level. When there are more than 10 distinct values, the app automatically generates equal intervals to group the data. The user can generate different intervals by downloading the data in CSV format.
To access the frequency of the selected indicator’s values for the localities in a county, select a locality from the interactive map [AREA] or from the [AREA] field of the upper bar.
